June 2020 - What is one positive activity for you during this pandemic?
Virginia Suppan - Rediscovering God's Amazing Labor of Love in the beauty of nature. Doing this pandemic most of us had extra time to go to our backyard and enjoy the flowers, the birds singing, and the overall beauty of what is often in front of us but we do not take the time to see. at the same time we have had extra time in the evenings to watch documentaries that are sometimes getting more and more intriguing as to the complexity, and the innate desire to communicate, be loved, and survive, involved in each of the species surrounding us, humans. Such testimony has affected some of us personally, in at a deeper level, during this extraordinary time of isolation, Awakening the desire to be grateful to the Lord's generosity in every aspect of life. The Virgen Mary is a great example of contemporary gratitude and absolute adoration to God's Almighty power in all Beauty and Glory, all of which bring an extraordinary gratitude in my heart doing this pandemic. Thank you God for all these special blessings! Amen.

Ottilie Valverde - I actually have 2: first is having Zoom classes (I have a small group of students who wanted to continue reviewing for the SAT during summer; we have had about 8 classes so far (1 hour, 2-3 days/week); I keep expecting the students to drop out; I ask at the end of every class about continuing, so far the answer has been "yes". Recently, one of my daughters asked me to work with her 2 children (grades 6 and 8) on algebra; we meet twice a week for 30 minutes. My second answer is gardening; i grow flowers because they make me happy. Working in the garden is joyful and uplifting; also, I often get to visit with neighbors as they walk by. I live alone since my husband of 50+ years passed away 17 months ago, so the opportunity to have a brief conversation with a passing neighbor is welcome (in this time covid).
Grissel Benitez-Hodge - I have participated in a weekly Zoom Meeting to read and discussed the weekly Gospel with my former Marianist Lay Community from Honolulu, HI.
